Getting started

Create an account, get your trial credits and process your first ZIP in under five minutes.

How do I register?

Click "Get started" in the header, fill in your name, work email and password, and accept the Terms and Privacy Policy. We send a confirmation email; activate the account from the link and you are in.

What are trial credits and how do I get them?

Every new account receives 10 free trial credits automatically on signup. One credit equals one STL processed successfully. Trial credits don't expire while your account is active.

How do I upload my first ZIP?

From the Dashboard click "Upload ZIP", drag your archive into the dropzone (max 2 GB), wait for the preflight summary, then click "Process now" to spend credits. Results are ready under "History".

File preparation

STL and PTS files are paired by filename. Get the pairing right and processing is straightforward.

How do I pair STL and PTS files?

Each STL must have a sibling PTS with the exact same base name. For example, case_001.stl pairs with case_001.pts. Files that don't pair are flagged in the preflight summary and are ignored.

What is the maximum upload size?

The current limit is 2 GB per ZIP. If your batch is larger, split it into multiple ZIPs and queue them sequentially.

Can I upload patient data?

By default, no. The Service is not configured to receive PHI under HIPAA. If you need PHI processing, request the HIPAA tier for your organization and execute a Business Associate Agreement first. See the BAA page in Legal.

Processing

What our engine actually does, how to read the result and what to do with the output.

What does MoldLean do to my STL?

Our engine reduces the height of the dental mould while preserving the contact surface required for the aligner. Smoothing passes, tolerance and minimum thickness are configurable by the operator team.

How long does processing take?

Most files complete in under two minutes. Large batches are processed in parallel; you can watch progress in real time on the job detail page.

How do I download the result?

Open the job from "History" and click "Download processed ZIP". Results stay available for 72 hours after completion, then storage is wiped automatically.

Credits and billing

Pay only for what we deliver. Failed files are never charged.

How do credits work?

One credit equals one STL file processed successfully. Trial credits, purchased credits and refunded credits share the same balance and are consumed first-in-first-out.

How do I buy credits?

Go to Billing → Buy credits, choose a package and complete checkout via Paddle. Credits appear in your balance within a minute and an invoice is emailed to you.

What is your refund policy?

Credits for files that fail due to engine or infrastructure errors are automatically refunded within 24 hours. Other refund requests are reviewed case by case — see the Terms of Service.

Account

Profile, password, multiple tabs and deletion.

How do I change my password?

Go to Account → Password, enter the current and new passwords, then click "Update password". You'll be signed out from all other sessions for safety.

Can I use MoldLean in multiple tabs?

Yes. Authentication is shared across tabs in the same browser. Signing out in one tab signs you out everywhere.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Account → Delete account and confirm. Files are wiped within 72 hours and personal data within 30 days, except items we must retain by law (invoices, audit log).

API access

Programmatic access is on the roadmap for after the public beta.

Do you have an API?

A REST + webhook API is planned for the months after the public beta. Reach out at sales@moldlean.com if you would like to be an early-access partner.

Will you offer webhooks for job events?

Yes. The plan is to expose webhooks for job started / completed / failed / expired events, signed with HMAC.

Troubleshooting

Common issues and how to resolve them yourself.

My upload was rejected because the file is not a ZIP.

We accept ZIP archives only. Re-export your batch as a single .zip file and try again. Compressed formats like 7z, rar or tar.gz are not currently supported.

Preflight detected zero valid pairs.

Check that your STL and PTS files share the same base filename inside the ZIP (case-sensitive). Files in nested folders are scanned; the pairing rule still applies.

Processing failed for one of my files.

Open the job detail to see the specific error. Credits for failed files are refunded automatically. If the issue persists, attach the failing pair to a support ticket.

My download link returned 410 Gone.

Files are kept for 72 hours after processing completes. After that the link expires. You can re-upload the originals and reprocess if needed.
