General

What is MoldLean?

MoldLean is a SaaS web app that reduces the height of dental aligner moulds while preserving the contact surface. You upload a ZIP of STL/PTS files, we process them and you download the optimized output.

Who is MoldLean for?

Dental labs, orthodontic clinics and aligner manufacturers that produce moulds at scale. International teams are first-class: full English and Spanish interface, USD billing.

Is MoldLean free?

There is no free tier, but every new account gets 10 trial credits on signup so you can evaluate the workflow before paying.

Files

What file formats do you accept?

ZIP archives containing pairs of STL (geometry) and PTS (control points) files. Each STL must have a matching PTS with the same base name.

What is the maximum upload size?

2 GB per ZIP. Split larger batches into multiple ZIPs.

Can I upload protected health information?

Only on the HIPAA tier with an executed Business Associate Agreement. By default the Service is not configured for PHI.

Credits

How does pricing work?

One credit = one STL processed successfully. You buy a package once, no subscription. Volume packages get a better per-credit price.

Do credits expire?

Purchased credits do not expire. Trial credits remain usable while your account is active.

Do you offer volume discounts?

Yes. Pricing is tiered — higher packages reduce the per-credit cost. For enterprise volumes contact sales@moldlean.com.

Security and privacy

Where is my data stored?

Active uploads and processing run in the EU by default (Cloudflare R2, Hetzner in Germany). Cold archive (invoices, audit log) uses AWS S3 Glacier. The HIPAA tier runs on AWS in the US under the AWS BAA.

How long do you keep my files?

Uploaded files (originals and processed) are deleted automatically 72 hours after processing completes. See the Privacy Policy for the full retention schedule.

Are you GDPR and HIPAA compliant?

GDPR-ready by default with a DPA, SCCs and 30-day sub-processor notice. HIPAA-ready on the opt-in HIPAA tier with a signed BAA. SOC 2 Type II is on the roadmap.

Integration

Do you have an API?

Not yet during the public beta. A REST + webhook API is planned for the next phase. Email sales@moldlean.com to be an early-access partner.

Can I white-label MoldLean?

White-label is on the enterprise roadmap. Contact sales@moldlean.com to discuss timelines and requirements.

Will you offer webhooks?

Yes — for job started / completed / failed / expired events, signed with HMAC. Shipping alongside the API.

Refunds

What happens if processing fails?

Credits for files that fail due to engine or infrastructure issues are automatically refunded to your balance within 24 hours. You see the refund as a ledger entry under Billing.

Can I get a refund for partially processed jobs?

Only the successful files are charged. The failed ones never consume credits. If a whole batch fails, the reservation is released back to your balance automatically.

Support

How fast do you respond?

During beta we target one business day for support tickets and four business hours for billing or security issues. Hours are Mon–Fri 09:00–18:00 (America/Mexico_City).

Which languages do you support?

English and Spanish for the product, written support and documentation.
